Application & Guide on How to Become a PDOIS Member
Membership is open to any Gambian citizen who has attained the age of eighteen years, accepts and is willing to serve the country under the guidance of the party and has associated with and shows commitment to the party for a reasonable period.
To apply for membership, please complete the form in this document and forward to the below referenced Central Committee Representatives for submission to the Central Committee for approval.
Application
Application for membership shall be made by filling the link above which replaces the practice of writing and addressing a letter to the Central Committee for approval.
Party members are committed to the service of the country under the guidance of the party.
They must have information regarding all aspects of the party for general dissemination.
The members must gain access to such information.
They must be current on national and international news.
They must be keen in giving information and in rendering service to the masses.
PDOIS members must be ready to devote time, energy and resources to promote the enlightenment and organization of the people to ensure their liberty, dignity and prosperity.
PDOIS members must be able to identify those who are capable of being its sympathizers, supporters, or members and motivate them to serve the party and country according to their capacity.
Some people may not wish to be seen as PDOIS supporters in the open but would be ready to vote for PDOIS in secret. They should be allowed to play their role.
A true PDOIS member is one who finds joy in working to educate and organize the masses to ensure our collective liberty, dignity and prosperity instead of looking for immediate personal gain.
A Republic is a Sovereign Community
Its members are supposed to be bound by ideals that are above family, colour, gender and any ethno-linguistic (tribal) consideration.
How to build the sovereign community that empowers each to participate as equals in determining the common good and reap the benefits of liberty and prosperity in common, is the challenge of National independence and Nation building under a Republic.
